Saturday.

Just the sound of it makes most people smile.
Last Saturday was the perfect day. Perfect temperature, everyone was healthy, the sun was shining and there was a certain happy feeling in the air. I've been so busy with work lately I wanted to take some time out with the kids. Summers almost over (it's hard for me to even say those words), so we took full advantage of one of the last days of summer vacation.....

Starting with the farm at Thanksgiving Point.




She was the main reason why we chose going to the farm. A born animal lover who refers to all animals as "woof woofs"..... she couldn't have been happier.


Sporting his Star Wars shirt. The same one he wore for three days straight when we first bought it.


The girls on the wagon ride, pulled by two ginormous horses.

Then onto the gardens...





You gotta love him.


I've always loved pink Zinnias.


Adam upset that someone took his sucker.... that he took from Estelle.


Never waste an opportunity to climb something.


And then we discovered something new at Thanksgiving Point.... what we call the "thingamabob". It was the coolest thing ever. It had a bunch of different levers that the kids could pull and each one would squirt water or honk or dump or whistle, moving water from one place to the next.... we all just stared at it, just trying to figure it out. I sat and watched them play in it for a good long time and I could've sat there all day watching my babies play and laugh.... and get soaked.









We walked away from it looking forward to the next time we'd play with it again. I said to the kids how awesome it would be to have one in our back yard, then I thought to myself maybe not- since that would attract every kid in the neighborhood like flys on poop.

These are the kind of days I'll always remember, spending time with my kids, when they're little, when they actually like spending time with me too.
I am so grateful.
